Under Washington State law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location if such an injury or death results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.
Keep in mind that this is a working farm:
We take safety on the farm very seriously. We walk the farm each morning before each event to mark any areas that might be of concern. We allow full access to the farm however if we feel an area is unsafe we may close that area until we feel itβs safe. Every adult of parties responsible for an underage person, or persons, that participates will be required to read our risk disclosure agreement. We make concerted efforts to provide a safe environment for you and your child. Still, in the course of our activities, we cannot safeguard your child against all possible injuries such as bee stings, scrapes, bruises, falls, and normal hazards that may be encountered in your own backyard.
Our Dog Policy:
We love our animals here at the farm, most of which are prey species that can get pretty worked up over strange predators. We ask that you leave your pets and emotional support animals at home.
Service dogs are welcome. We expect them to be in their working vest and we may ask to see certification.
Keep your eyes open for our working farm dog, Hans. Please respect his vest, when he's wearing it, and don't pet him while he is working. Once he gets to know you then you can pet him (When he's not wearing his jacket)
Damage Agreement
Any damages to Vaughn's Farm property, staff property or other guest property as a result of my childβs actions are my financial responsibility. If my child breaks or damages something beyond normal wear, I will pay for it.
